Elliptical Zinc Anodes
TECHNICAL SHEET
CAS: 7440-66-6 / EINECS: 231-175-3
Chemical symbol: Zn
Purity: Elliptical zinc anodes are made from high purity SHG (Super High Grade) zinc: > 99.995%. The very low impurity content guarantees a quality zinc deposit.
Dimensions: The section of the elliptical zinc anodes is 80 x 40mm. The maximum length is 1800mm. The weight of the anodes is about 10kg per meter.
Product Description: Elliptical zinc anodes have grooves that allow the anodic surface area to be increased by a factor of approximately 1.3.
The anodes can be delivered with the zinc head. Thanks to our unique attachment system on the carrier bar, maintenance is greatly facilitated. Contact us to study the feasibility.
They can also be supplied without the head. We can drill and tap the anodes so that a hook can be attached.
Areas of application: elliptical grooved zinc anodes are particularly suitable for barrel zinc plating, and in general, for baths working with high voltage.
They are therefore mainly used in acid baths based on zinc chloride , potassium chloride or ammonium chloride, and in zinc sulfate baths.
They are also suitable for cyanide baths containing sodium cyanide, zinc oxide or zinc cyanide .
It is recommended to put an anode bag in order to improve filtration.
