Brass Plates

TECHNICAL SHEET

CAS: 7440-50-8 /  EINECS: 231-159-6: Copper

CAS: 7440-66-6 /  EINECS: 231-175-3: Zinc

Chemical symbol: Cu Zn

Purity: The purity of brass anodes is > 99.90%

Dimensions: The most common dimensions of brass anodes are 600×100, 600×200 and 800×200mm. Our equipment allows us to cut up to 1600mm lengths. We can also cut to your specific dimensions upon request.

Product Description: The two main alloys used in electroplating for brass deposition are 63/37 and 70/30. Other alloys are possible, for example 80/20.

We can drill holes in the anodes to attach a hook.

Areas of use: Brass boards are used for the deposition of brass for decorative or functional applications. Brass anodes are placed in anode bags. The formulation of brass plating baths is based on sodium cyanide , copper cyanide , zinc cyanide and caustic soda. The quality of brass chosen will depend on the desired color of the deposit.

Packaging: the brass anodes are cut and placed on pallets.

Availability:  Available from stock for most common sizes

Safety/MSDS: Product for industrial use only.

Mini Brass Cylinders

TECHNICAL SHEET

CAS: 7440-50-8 /  EINECS: 231-159-6: Copper

CAS: 7440-66-6 /  EINECS: 231-175-3: Zinc

Chemical symbol: Cu Zn

Purity: The purity of mini brass cylinders is > 99.95%

Dimensions: The mini brass cylinders have a dimension of 12x20mm as standard. Other dimensions are possible on request.

Product Description: The two main alloys used in electroplating for brass deposition are 63/37 and 70/30. Other alloys are possible, for example 80/20.

Areas of application: Mini brass cylinders are used for the deposition of brass for decorative or functional applications. Their particular shape makes them very practical to use for continuous treatments. The brass nuggets are then placed in titanium baskets at the bottom of tanks or in vertical baskets. The baskets are filled ergonomically and quickly. It is recommended to put an anode bag around the baskets for better filtration.

The formulation of brass plating baths is based on sodium cyanide , copper cyanide , zinc cyanide and caustic soda. The quality of brass chosen will depend on the desired color of the deposit.

Packaging: 15 kg drum, 10 kg bag, 20 kg box, others on request

Availability:  Available from stock for most common sizes

Safety/MSDS: Product for industrial use only.

Brass wire

TECHNICAL SHEET

CAS: 7440-50-8 /  EINECS: 231-159-6: Copper

CAS: 7440-66-6 /  EINECS: 231-175-3: Zinc

Chemical symbol: Cu Zn

Purity: The purity of brass wires is > 99.90%

Dimensions: We offer brass wires ranging from 0.4mm to 6mm. Other diameters are possible on request.

Product description: Brass wires can be of two qualities: either annealed (the wire is very flexible) or work hardened (the wire is hard). Depending on the diameters, brass wires can be in coils of 15 to 20 kg or in spools ranging from 1 to 15 kg.

Areas of application: Annealed brass wires are generally used to attach parts that are to be coated by electroplating. Work-hardened wires are used to make rigid hooks or to anodize hollow parts (metallization of the interior).

Packaging: crowns and coils

Availability:  Available from stock for most common sizes

Safety/MSDS: Product for industrial use only.
