About Chrome Alum
Chrome Alum (chromium potassium sulfate) is the classic trivalent-chromium tanning agent used to cross-link collagen fibres in leather, producing the soft, heat-resistant, water-resistant "wet blue" leather standard in the tanning industry. It's also used in specialty surface-treatment and mordanting applications.
